Winners and More on Step by Step Guided Reading Plans!

Hey friends!  I hope you had an enjoyable Halloween and even more enjoyable day after! Ha!  I wanted to stop in and announce the winners for my “Grand” Spooky Extravaganza!  I’ve emailed the winners so you should have received an email: Lorena, Linda T, Jennifer L, Heather S, Kris H, Katie N, Monique R, Elizabeth K, Andrea P, and Samantha M.

I’ve also uploaded the latest bundled pack of step by step guided reading plans.
You can click on the picture below to view weeks 9-12 bundled!

I wanted to take a few minutes to  answer a couple of questions I’ve received!  First, I’ve added an easy “how to” for printing the easy readers.

The important parts are to be sure you are placing the “final” page {if there is one specif for the book} after your title page when copying.  Also, you’ll need to rotate the pages every other one- – right side up, right side down, and so on.

I’ve received some questions regarding my small group binder.  I keep each week’s lesson plans, books, writing templates, etc separated by tabs and placed in sheet protectors.

Each tab  stands for the unit and lesson number.

For the Monday poem/short story I have my students highlight the week’s sight word.  I really focus on the sight word for the week on Mondays so this is just another reinforcer.

I will be back soon with a few ideas on writing stories with sensory words, close reads, and math centers!  When you are preparing to head back to the classroom this week think about this quote….we can be just the difference, hug, smile, positive comment – – they needed! 🙂
