Pre-K & K Centers

Hey all and thank you so much for hopping over to see me!  Today I will be sharing all about my brand new Pre-K centers SET TWO!  You guys have been BEGGING for a set two since I posted set one last summer!  I get emailed a lot from Pre-K teachers that are desperate for appropriate Pre-K materials!  I think Pre-K teachers are complete SAINTS to start with to work with out littlest learners but then to constantly take kinder curriculum and knock it down a few notches– well they are SUPER SAINTS!

In today’s post, I will take you through one of the themes so you can really SEE just how MUCH is included for each theme!  I will also be hosting a Pre-K giveaway at the end of the post so be sure to keep an eye out for that!

Before I get too far into the post, I would like to take a couple of moments and explain these centers and the range of students that can benefit from them!  The Pre-K themed literacy and math centers bundle includes 20 themes and a total of 200 centers WOOT!!!!  Each of the themed center packets include 5 literacy centers and 5 math centers!  Each of the centers come with an “I Can” card, recording sheet and a self-check sheet!  Along with these included sheets, each bundle also comes with teacher observation check lists!  This is perfect for teachers and aides that need documentation for student work!

What is included?

– 20 THEMED packets
– 120 total literacy centers
– 120 total math centers
– 5 Pre-K LITERACY centers and 5 Pre-K MATH centers per theme. That is 10 centers per theme!
– Themes include: hands-on centers, recording sheets, teacher checklist skill trackers, “I can” cards and self-checking sheets!

The Pre-K centers are not just for Pre-K students!  Let’s take a quick walk through kindergarten!  Have you ever had a kiddo or group of kiddos that just struggle through the year… the rest of the class is on CVC words and they are still working to master their alphabet.  It’s at no fault of their own but they just aren’t able to keep up!  As teachers we work hard to provide fun activities for all of our kiddos but if they aren’t able to use the kinder centers then what do we do?  These centers are PERFECT for these kiddos!  It’s important that I note that the only place Pre-K” is mentioned is on the cover!  None of the student material is listed with Pre-K!  Along with kinder students, ELL and SPED students across the grade levels can also benefit greatly from these centers!  All kiddos love learning and especially when the material they are learning with is on their level!

Now let’s head into one of the center themes– Dogs! (Ps. This theme pairs PERFECTLY with Hairy the Dirty Dog– a week from Pre-K Literacy and FREEBIE)

Puzzlin’ It with Puppies- in this activity, the students will match the cut up pictures onto the letter mat.  Students also have the check-it sheet to make sure they have the correct answers!  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Sniff Sniff Letter Fun- in this activity, the students will match the nose to correct dog. There are multiple versions included so that the students can work on capital to lowercase, lowercase to lowercase.  Students also have the check-it sheet to make sure they have the correct answers!  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Barking Bone Sort- in this activity, the students will sort the bones to the correct mat (letters vs. numbers vs. words).  Students also have the check-it sheet to make sure they have the correct answers!  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Beginning Sounds Clip It- in this activity, the students will clip the correct beginning sound.  Students also have the check-it sheet to make sure they have the correct answers!  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Pup Pull n’ Stampe- in this activity, the students will pull a card and stamp it onto the recording sheet!

Doghouse Color Fun- in this activity, the students will sort the dog and bone to the matching color of doghouse.  Students also have the check-it sheet to make sure they have the correct answers!  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Puppy Spin and Cover- in this activity, the students will spin a board (numbers to 5 or numbers to 10) and cover the matching number.  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Puppy Treats- in this activity, the students will play puppy treat “memory”.  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Dog Gone Number Sense- in this activity, the students will work on their number sense skills by matching the bone to the dog.  Students also have the check-it sheet to make sure they have the correct answers!  Students will follow up with a recording sheet!

Doggy Fine Motor- in this activity, the students will work on their fine motor skills by using fine motor tweezers and pom poms.  *This is a FREEBIE. Click HERE to download*
