Read It! Decodable Comprehension Passages [giveaway + freebie]

Hey there and Happy Thursday aka officially one day into SPRING! Not sure what has been happening with weather lately but sure hoping “official spring” goes in our favor!

Spring brings rain and thunder …. but it also brings blossoming READERS! There is something about this time of the school year that makes it starts to fly by! Before we know it it will be kindergarten graduation and we will be seeing off our little love bugs!

I know I fast forwarded the next few months a little toooooooo much but you get it 😉 As the year winds down we start to see our students take up reading and start to apply all of those hard-earned skills to use! The letters names go to letter sounds and then the letter sounds go to decoding words!

We focus a lot on reading in the spring of kinder… usually it comes in at the guided reading group! We read rich texts and focus on comprehension! However, there is always that part of the day were fluency still needs to come in! We for sure don’t ask our kiddos to read their guided reading books with a fast speed because again we are working on comprehension and reading strategies there!

Sooooo… we needed something that could still work on reading [CHECK], encourage decoding [CHECK], and build fluency… [CHECK]! My new Read It! bundle covers all of that and MORE!
