These CVC Sound Stretchers are designed to give students a visual and tactile way to practice segmenting and blending CVC words. They’ll say each sound in a word, stretch it across the dots, and then follow the arrow to blend it back together.
Students say and tap each sound in a CVC word (e.g., /k/, /a/, /t/)
The arrow reminds them to blend the sounds smoothly into the full word (cat)
