These CVCC and R-controlled stretch tube cards give students a kinesthetic way to break apart and blend sounds. By pairing the cards with pop tubes from Amazon (or any stretchable toy), students make phonics both physical and memorable.
Example CVCC word: nest → /n/ (green), /e/ (yellow), /s/ (red), /t/ (red)
Example R-controlled word: farm → /f/ (green), /ar/ (yellow), /m/ (red)
Students stretch out each sound using the tube, then blend it back together aloud
Optional: write the word on the included recording sheet for encoding practice
