These CVCC and r-controlled Drive the Sound fluency cards make phonics practice interactive and fun. Students place a toy car or other manipulative on the “road,” drive over each sound as they blend, and then read the word. For added practice, they can write the completed word on the road space, reinforcing decoding with spelling. This activity is science of reading-aligned and perfect for small-groups, centers, or independent review.
