This free Knowledge In-a-Click Bees Digital Slides resource provides a complete, Science of Reading-aligned approach to listening comprehension and vocabulary. The digital slides follow a systematic 5-day structure built around the nonfiction text Bees by Laura Marsh.
Day 1: Students listen to the read aloud with minimal stops, collecting “bits of knowledge” to store in their knowledge case.
Day 2: Vocabulary focus with kid-friendly definitions, real-life connections, and whole-body movements.
Day 3: Knowledge application through text-dependent questions at Levels 1–3.
Day 4: Vocabulary review and real-world connections to extend knowledge.
Day 5: Final vocabulary review, knowledge check, and assessment.
The resource also includes optional printable practice sheets, vocabulary actions, and opportunities for students to chart and share their learning.
