Celebrating the 100th Day of School: A Free Bundle of Resources
As kindergarten teachers, every day is an adventure filled with laughter, learning, and the joy of watching little learners grow. But there’s something extra special about reaching the 100th day of school. It’s a milestone worth celebrating, and what better way to mark this momentous occasion than with a bundle of free downloads that will add a sprinkle of excitement to your classroom? In this free bundle of 100th day activities, you can access these 100s chart puzzlers. The puzzlers come with realistic photos or this generic option. Simply cut up the 100s chart into several smaller pieces. Students will use their number sense knowledge to put the 100s chart back together.
Decodable Word Lists: Read 100 Words
One of the highlights of the 100 days of learning journey is witnessing students take their first steps into the magical world of reading. To support this pivotal moment, I’ve prepared decodable word lists that are both fun and educational. These lists are tailored to the kindergarten curriculum and first grade curriculum, helping our young readers build confidence as they explore new words and sounds.
This free download provides you with cvc, digraphs/blends, and cvce-based word lists. Students can read 100 (or 101) words to show fluency. How exciting for them to know that they can read 100 words. You can also read these together as a class.
Pip the Pup Certificates and Crowns
Nothing says “Congratulations!” like a special certificate, and the adorable Pip the Pup certificates are designed to do just that. Celebrate the achievements, big and small, that your students have accomplished in the first 100 days of school. Pair the certificates with matching crowns to make the day even more memorable. Watch as your kindergarteners proudly wear their crowns, beaming with a sense of accomplishment.
Who doesn’t love a special snack? This 100th day of school activity provides students a way to count out yummy collections to 100. Ask students to bring in a snack to extend this activity. Cheerios, nuts, fruit snacks, popcorn, M&Ms, Skittles, or cereal work great for the compact mat.

Dip, dip, dip! Students love having the opportunity to dip and dot paint. This activity asks students to add 100 spots to Pip the Pup. The activity is also offered for the 101st day of school. This fine motor activity is included in the bundle of 100th day free downloads below.
Students love a good ol’ Simon Says game. The free download takes that but with a Pip the Pup spin. The activities are also offered in an academic approach or through exercises. Students can complete tasks like 10 frog jumps then 10 jumping-jacks. Students can also complete the academic based tasks like write numbers to 100 or dab the sheet 100 times.
Counting Out Sets to 100 Mats: Math Magic in Action
Counting to 100 is a significant milestone in early math education. To make this process interactive and engaging, I’ve created counting out sets to 100 mats. These mats provide a hands-on approach to learning numbers and help develop essential counting skills. Turn the 100th day into a math celebration as your students eagerly count out sets and discover the magic of reaching the triple digits.
This free download offers two styles of counting collections to 100 mats. Students can visually see the (10) groups of ten like you see here. You might also choose to use the mat that shows the place value numbers as they progress by 10s to 100 – 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70, 80, 90, 100.
