Snowman FUN! {freebie too}
We had SNOWmuch fun today!!! Ha! Sorry I couldn’t resist! First off…we watched just a snippit of our Frozen DVD…the part where Olaf sits by the fire and starts to melt. Olaf says, “Some people are worth melting for.” We then discussed those in our lives that are so special to us..special enough that we would melt for them! We when did an opinion writing. Students stated who they would melt for and why. You can snag this freebie writing prompt below! 🙂
I would melt for my family because I love them very much.
I would melt for my mom and dad because they help me.
Not too long ago I stumbled upon THESE ADORABLE Olaf printables on Pinterest. The kiddos LOVED creating their own Olafs. I was so tickled by how they were all a little different from one another!
Cheese!!!! If you are counting kiddos…I had seven gone 😉 That darn flu bug has found its way to our classroom!
We also made our snowmen parent gifts. Deedee shared this idea, the how-to, and the cute tag on her blog…click HERE to view her post! My husband did the hard labor and the kiddos did final touches! After getting the boards purchases and painted I needed one sock per snowman, one sheet of orange felt, black craft paint, and ribbon!
Stay calm and enjoy your kiddos!
The snowmen boards are such a super cute idea!!! Did you measure and cut each board to the child's height? What kind of boards did you use? I also do a similar Olaf activity! I just love Frozen! Some might say i'm OBSESSED! 🙂 Luckily I teach Kindergarten, so I do it for the kids! 🙂
Hey there! Deedee Wills posted the idea and how she made hers here: http://www.mrswillskindergarten.com/2013/12/christmas-projects-done.html You can also email me if you have any other questions! 🙂
